My Background
I graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. Following graduation, I taught Pre-School in Des Moines, IA and then became the director of Formative Years Learning Center. In 1997, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom for my boys. I stayed home for 10 years until they were all in school. The fall of 2007, I became an Education Assistant in the Brandon Valley School District in the Early Childhood Special Education Department. During my 2nd year, an Early Childhood teaching position became open which sparked my interest and desire to teach again. I then took a few classes and received my Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, and Early Childhood Special Education. I was then hired as a Early Childhood Special Education teacher in 2009.
I truly love working with young children and feel blessed each and every day that I get to work with your child.
